e-District Project

e-District is one of the 31 Mission Mode Projects (MMP) under the National eGovernance Plan (NeGP). The e-Services under e-District Project are delivered through ServicePlus MMP.

 

Objectives:

1. Delivery of G2C services accessible to the citizen through the following three modes available:
• Common Services Centres (CSC) - Rainbow Centres/Digital Seva
• Public Facilitation Centre (PFC) set up at the DC's Office
• The citizen can apply online from their home/cyber cafe by registering in the Meghalaya e-District portal
2. Ease of Comfort for the citizens in applying for the services
3. Convenience and faster delivery of Digitally Signed Certificates at the citizen's doorstep
4. Citizens can track the status of their application
5. Provide transperency, accountability and responsive service
6. SMS alerts and intimations to the Applicants at every sequence of processes till the delivery of certificates or rejection
